So... Tuesday... brilliant. First day of a new school and bootcamp for the next four years. I'm attending DigiPen, the adamant and apparent Harvard Law of game and design degrees, and I'm super psyched :D and incredibly anxious :/. Every speech I've heard from a teacher over orientation was about how I'm going to die here, and be great at it (death, I mean), and fifty percent of my classmates won't make the first year. Its not everyday you finish a good book. Not everyday you finish a book that leaves a nick in your heart. Edge of Destiny, it's a brilliant book based off of the up and coming Guild Wars 2, explaining events that happen pre-commencement of the game. Any readers out there? Get it, read it, even if you've never heard of Guild Wars, it's still a powerfully sad, humorous, etc. book. The whole point of being an artist is to impress and improve. Why else would we do what we do? Its long and pain staking. It sucks up your time like none other and you might not even like the end result. It estranges you from social life. Its costly, big bucks to buy the right stuff, thus: Its got to be authentic, you need the right kind of paper, the right tablet, right computer, right pencil, you can't go for the cheap everyday stuff. Its messy sometimes, and drives us all nuts, especially if the computer crashes, or a lightning strike, or in a traditional artist's sake, the ink bottle spills, the dog gets a hold of it, your younger
